Terms of Service

The agreement you accept by creating a pack.

Back to the app

Written in plain language by the people who built the service, and kept in step with what the code actually does. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by a solicitor before you rely on it in a dispute.

What the service is

TruthResume turns a resume and evidence you supply into resumes tailored to job descriptions you paste. Its defining rule: it will not write anything you can't prove. Claims are checked against the evidence you provided; unsupported claims are blocked, not shipped.

What the truthfulness check is — and is not

The engine verifies that generated wording traces back to the evidence you supplied. It cannot verify that your evidence itself is accurate, and it is not a guarantee that any resume is truthful, complete, or will produce interviews or offers. You are responsible for what you submit to employers.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to your resume, evidence, and generated documents. You grant the service only what it needs to operate: permission to process and store your content in order to check, build, and return your documents to you. Your content is never used to train models and never shared with third parties, except the payment processor described below, which never sees your resume content at all.

Two ways in: an access key, or an account

Creating a pack issues one secret access key. Used on its own — guest mode — there is no account, no password, and no email address on file, and the trade is stated plainly: the key is the only way back to your pack. Only a one-way hash of it is stored, so it cannot be looked up, resent, or recovered — by you or by us.

An account is the optional convenience on top: an email address and a password, so you can come back without the key, reset a forgotten password by email, and keep several packs in one place. An account stores exactly that — your email, a hash of your password, and the list of your packs. Nothing else. Deleting your account deletes every pack on it, immediately and permanently.

Storage, encryption, and retention

Packs are encrypted at rest. Data is deleted automatically after a period of inactivity: free packs after roughly 7 days, packs with any purchase after roughly 90 days (the app's billing panel shows the exact current values for your deployment, read from the same settings the deletion sweep enforces). Any activity on your pack restarts its clock. You can also delete everything immediately, at any time, with the delete button — deletion is permanent.

Payments

A weekly subscription: $6 per week for unlimited builds, after three free builds that need no card at all. It renews weekly until you cancel. Cancel anytime — the week you already paid for runs to its end, nothing renews after it, and no further charge is made. Partial weeks are not refunded; if a charge was made in error, write to billing@truthresume.com and it will be put right. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted page; your card details never touch this service, and the billing record kept here contains no personal information — only a pack id, counts, timestamps and a Stripe subscription reference. The subscription attaches to a pack (see the token section above: a lost token also means losing access to the subscription on that pack).

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to misrepresent identity or credentials, to process someone else's personal data without their permission, or to probe, overload, or circumvent the service's security controls. Rate limits exist and are enforced.

Optional AI assistance

If enabled on the server and switched on by you for a build, an AI pass may reword bullets toward the job description. Every suggestion is checked against your evidence and your per-bullet rewording limits before acceptance; content you locked is never sent to the AI provider at all. With AI assistance off — the default — no AI provider is involved in any way.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and termination

These terms may change; material changes will be shown here with a new date. Continued use after a change is acceptance. The service may refuse or terminate use that violates these terms; you can stop using it — and delete your data — at any time.
